Children’s Museums in the San Francisco Bay Area

We are privileged in the Bay area to have five children’s museums. Unlike museums which offer programs for children, these museums offer spaces for children to run, jump, touch, paint, play and explore. And don’t forget - to get wet!

Children’s Discovery Museum	San Jose	Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose where you can expect to test, crank, listen, prod and tinker. One of the largest museums of its kind in the nation, CDM's 150 interactive exhibits lead visitors to explore, understand and enjoy the world in which they live.
Habitot (The)	Berkeley	Habitot founders have created a hands-on play and learning center where young children are the ‘big kids’ -- exploring the arts and culture in a safe setting designed especially for small hands and bodies and growing minds.
My Museum	Monterey	My Museum (the Monterey County Youth Museum) is packed with a variety of hands on exhibits, making each visit unique and exciting.
Zeum	San Francisco	Zeum: San Francisco's Children's Museum is a hands-on, multimedia arts and technology experience for kids. We envision a world where the 3Cs of 21st-century literacy - Creativity, Collaboration and Communication - inspire new ideas and innovative solutions.
