Aquarium of the Bay Profile

The Aquarium of the Bay focuses on the Bay's diverse aquatic animals and distinctive ecosystems. The 65,000 square foot facility is home to over 20,000 aquatic animals, including sharks, bat rays and skates.  Exhibits include an octopus exhibit, a jellies exhibit and PG&E Bay Lab, an interactive climate change exhibit.

Every day: 9 am to 8 pm

 

General Hours of Operation -- Fall/Spring

September 7 - October 31; March 1-May 28

Monday - Thursday: 10 am to 7 pm

Friday - Sunday: 10 am - 8 pm

 

General Hours of Operation -- Winter

Beginning November 1

Monday-Thursday:  10 am to 6 pm

Friday-Sun:  10 am to 7 pm
 

The Aquarium is closed Christmas Day. Please check the Aquarium calendar to confirm the hours for the date of your visit as the Aquarium sometimes closes early to accommodate private events.

Free Admission Days:
The Aquarium has no regularly scheduled free admission days.
